Shuttle & Transportation
Free shuttles will be available from the Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR) to all accommodations in Careyes on Thursday, January 7th and Friday, January 8th, and from all accommodations in Careyes to PVR on Sunday, January 10th.
In addition, 4–5 complementary drivers will be available in Careyes for short travel in and around the community. Everyone will receive an email leading up to the wedding with information for contacting the drivers.

Sangeet — from the Sanskrit for “sung together” — is a South Asian tradition of music and dance performed by wedding guests. We’ll be inviting groups to perform by October. If you’d like to take the stage, please reach out!

Accommodation
Lodging is limited in the area, so we have pre-reserved accommodations at subsidized rates for our guests. When you RSVP above, you’ll see your pre-reserved room and can opt in.
+1 can’t come? You can request to be paired with a roommate. In November, you’ll receive an email confirmation from your personal on-site Careyes concierge who will give you all the check-in details you need.

Getting to Careyes
Please fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) — not Manzanillo. We recommend booking flights that arrive before ~7 PM.
Careyes is a beautiful 2.5-hour drive south from Puerto Vallarta. The route passes through jungle, tropical dry forest, developing villages, and national park. Please be aware there is a 90-minute stretch with no cell service and sparse population — it’s scenic but remote, and the road has some potholes.
Airport Transfers
We will have shuttles running between Puerto Vallarta Airport and Careyes for arrivals and departures. We’ll request flight arrival times for those who RSVP ‘yes’ to ensure adequate shuttle coverage.
If you plan to arrive earlier than Thursday, the concierge for your accommodations will provide airport transfer information.
Renting a Car
Renting a car is also an option if you prefer the flexibility. A few things to keep in mind:
- We recommend purchasing tire insurance and roadside assistance
- We do not advise driving at night due to the 90-minute stretch with no cell service
- Careyes is a gated community with heavy security — we will send a survey to register your vehicle for entry
Getting Around Careyes
The community itself is relatively walkable. We will also have shuttles for main events, plus 2–4 private drivers available as an Uber-style service for our guests throughout the trip. Note that Uber and taxis are not available in this region.

About Our Celebration
This celebration in Careyes is intended as an adults-only, friends gathering, with the exception of immediate family. We understand this isn't always possible — if childcare is what stands between you and Careyes, please reach out to us directly.
Our extended family ceremony will take place separately in a smaller, intimate setting in California.

Turtle Release
We are tentatively planning an optional excursion for our guests to release baby sea turtles into the ocean at Careyes' conservation center. This magical experience is subject to 24-hour notice depending on when the turtles hatch.
Marine Encounters
Spot dolphins and humpback whales off the coast of Careyes. January is peak whale watching season, so chances are excellent.
Horseback Riding
Explore the lush trails and beaches on horseback with guided rides through the Careyes countryside.
Birdwatching
Discover hundreds of tropical bird species in the forests, lagoons, and mangrove ecosystems surrounding Careyes with an expert guide.

Hike through tropical dry forest, jungle, and coastal trails with stunning views of the Pacific and the lush Careyes landscape. Go with a guide or self-guided — pick up a trail map at the Concierge at Casitas de las Flores.
Mountain Bike Trails
Ride through scenic mountain and jungle trails on two wheels. Routes can include Playa Careyitos, Playa Teopa, Rancho Bugambilias, the Polo Field, the lagoon, and more. Book at least 5 days in advance — the instructor will indicate the meeting point ahead of time.
Pilates
Strengthen and lengthen with a private or group Pilates session in a beautiful studio setting.
Tennis
Play a set on well-maintained courts in a gorgeous tropical setting. Equipment available.
